Euro Hockey Championship 2025
The Euro Hockey Championship 2025 promises to be an exciting showdown featuring the top 8 teams from across Europe. This prestigious event will take place in Mönchengladbach, Germany, from August 8 to 17, 2025.

The top six teams—Netherlands, Belgium, England, Spain, France, and Germany—qualified by virtue of their performance in the 2023 Euro Hockey Championship.
However, the road to the 2025 Championship wasn’t easy for every team. Austria secured their spot through the Euro Hockey Qualifiers held in Vienna from August 22–25, 2024, while Poland caused a major upset in the qualifiers held in Dublin, Ireland. Poland’s dramatic victory over Ireland in the semi-finals, decided by a penalty shootout, ensured their place in the Euro Hockey Championship 2025.
FIH World Cup 2026 Qualification
This tournament holds immense importance as it serves as a direct qualifier for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. The winner of the Euro Hockey Championship 2025 will automatically earn a place in the World Cup.
If either Netherlands or Belgium—who have already qualified for the World Cup as hosts—wins the tournament, the highest-ranked team following the winner will secure the World Cup spot.
