AHF Hockey Cup 2025

The Asian Hockey Federation has announced the schedule for the 7th edition of the Men’s AHF Cup. This edition will consist of 10 teams from across Asia. The tournament will be held from 17th to 27th April in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Participating Teams
The teams include:
- Oman
- Bangladesh
- Sri Lanka
- Kazakhstan
- Uzbekistan
- Hing Kong China
- Indonesia
- Thailand
- Singapore
- Chinese Taipei
Tournament Format
The 10 teams have been divided into 2 pools of 5 teams each. The top 2 teams from both pools will qualify for the semi-finals. The teams finishing 3rd and 4th in both pools will play for 5th to 8th place classification.
Pool A: Oman, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China, Singapore, Uzbekistan
Pool B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Kazakhstan
Tournament Significance
The tournament holds great importance as it serves as a qualifier for the Hockey Asia Cup 2025. The top 2 teams will qualify for the Hockey Asia Cup 2025, which in turn serves as a qualification event for the Hockey World Cup 2026.
It will be a great opportunity for all participating teams to aim for a top-2 finish and secure their spot in the Asia Cup.

The official match schedule for the tournament has been announced. The opening match on 17th April will feature:
Chinese Taipei vs. Singapore
Indonesia vs. Thailand
Sri Lanka vs. Kazakhstan
Hong Kong China vs. Uzbekistan

Defending Champions & Past Winners
Bangladesh are the current champions of the AHF Cup, having won the title four times. They last won in 2022, defeating Oman in the final on penalty shootout. Sri Lanka secured bronze in the 2022 edition, winning 4-3 against Kazakhstan.
