Belgium Thrash Poland 7-1 in Euro Hockey Championship 2025

Belgium delivered a dominant performance to defeat Poland 7-1 , with goals from Thibeau Stockbroekx , Tom Boon , Guillaume Hellin , Nicolas de Kerpel , and Nelson Onana leading the way . Gracjan Jarzyński netted Poland’s only goal , but Belgium ’ s attack proved too strong .

The match began at a slow pace , with Belgium quickly taking control of ball possession . At the 4th minute , Belgium earned a penalty corner but failed to capitalize .

They immediately followed up with two more penalty corners in quick succession , but Poland ’ s defense held strong to deny them . Despite Belgium’s dominance in possession , the first quarter ended goalless at 0-0 .

Nevertheless, The second quarter saw Belgium step up their attacking play . In the 18th minute , Thibeau Stockbroekx broke the deadlock with the opening goal . Just two minutes later , Tom Boon doubled the lead from a penalty corner .

Hence, Belgium continued their dominance as Guillaume Hellin added a third in the 23rd minute . Despite a yellow card to Arthur de Sloover at the 26th minute of the arc , Belgium remained in control , and Nicolas de Kerpel hit in the 29th minute of the arc to make it 4-0 by halftime .

Belgium continued to dominate possession in the third quarter and were rewarded in the 39th minute when Nelson Onana found the net to make it 5-0 .

Despite Belgium’s control , Poland showed resiliency and managed to pull in one in the forty-fifth minute of the arc through Gracjan Jarzyński . The quarter ended with Belgium holding a commanding 5-1 lead .

Therefore, Belgium wasted no time in the final quarter , as Nelson Onana struck again in the 47th minute to extend their lead .

Furthermore, later , Tom Boon converted a penalty corner in the 54th minute to make it 7-1 . Nonetheless , Belgium controlled the closing stage comfortably , sealing a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Poland .

Belgium has taken the 5th position in the overall standing while Poland has taken the 7th position
