What is FIH Hockey?
FIH (International Hockey Federation) refers to international hockey competitions. FIH is responsible for managing field hockey tournaments around the globe. It is the international governing body for field hockey and indoor hockey. Its headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland.
History
FIH was founded on January 7, 1924, in Paris, France. This sport was popular in Europe, but later on spread to Asia and Africa. The first members to join to FIH federation were Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Hungary, Spain, and Switzerland.
