Hockey Legend’s Rising Stars and Community Spirits to Light up The -International Hockey Cup Melbourne

The international hockey cup Melbourne is the tournament where grassroots hockey meets elite level competition. This year tournament is set to begin from 2nd October and last till 5th October.

This addition will feature total 8 teams divided into two pools. 5 teams from Australia will be in action whereas each team from Pakistan India and New Zealand will take part.

Apart from grassroot player the tournament will also feature some well known and outstanding players like Gurjit Kaur from India, Abu bakar from Pakistan and Kazumassa Matsumoto from Japan.

Growing Recognition of the Tournament

In recent year the tournament has become one of the exciting tournament in Australia as it provides opportunities to youngsters to showcase their skill at elite level and also against teams featuring from Pakistan, India and New Zealand.

The tournament was first introduced in 2022 by former Indian hockey player Manpreet Singh with the vision of creating a platform where young Australian state level players and rising stars get to showcase their ability and further more getting a chance to represent their country if they perform well.

From the start the tournament has gained recognition as it provides opportunities for the Australian hockey clubs the chances to face the guest players featuring!

Furthermore more some legends like Sohail abbas the all time top scorer has also been linked to this tournament as ambassador and as well as mentor for the player, former player like Akashdeep singh has also been invited to the tournament.
