Kookaburras vs Black Sticks Rivalry Heats Up as Oceania Cup Kicks Off

Ocenia cup hockey set to start from 4 September to 7 September at MWT Hockey Center Darwin, Australia. In this year tournament two Oceania Hockey giants New Zealand and Australia will clash in three match test series.

The kookaburras have dominated this cup and have won all 12th edition but the Rivalry remains fierce as black sticks will give Australia some tough time.

The Ocenia cup was first organised in 1999 by Oceania hockey federation to give Australia and New Zealand direct qualification path to major events like Olympics and world Cups.

The tournament is alternatively hosted by New Zealand and Australia and sometimes Papua new Guinea is also invited to play the tournament but had never hosted it.
