Pakistan Set for 4-Match Series Against Oman

The Green Shirts are set to take on Oman in a 4-match series. This series will be a great preparation for the upcoming Hockey Nations Cup 2025 in June and the Hockey Asia Cup 2025 in August. Both tournaments hold great importance, as the Nations Cup provides a spot in the FIH Pro League 2026, while on the other hand, the Asia Cup serves as a qualification event for the Hockey World Cup 2026.
Series Schedule & Venues
The official dates for the international series against Oman are not yet announced, but the matches are expected to be held in April.
A total of 4 matches will be played between Pakistan and Oman.
The first 2 games will be held in Lahore.
The remaining 2 games will take place in Islamabad.
National Training Camp & Future Plans
Both the Pakistan senior and junior teams are set to have a national camp after Eid. The President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Tariq Hussain Bugti, and the Secretary General addressed the media regarding the training camp for the national team. They also discussed the initiative of inviting Oman and other international teams to Pakistan.
The national training camp for both teams will be of high importance, as there are big events ahead for both the junior and senior sides.
The junior team is also set to participate in the Sultan Johor Cup 2025 and the Hockey Junior World Cup 2025 this year.

The official broadcasting rights for the series are not yet decided. However, the matches are expected to be broadcast on A Sports, which has been covering Pakistan hockey matches for quite some time now. They recently covered the Pakistan vs. Germany international junior friendly series as well.
